Bonniconlon is a small village located in North East Mayo and approximately 10km from Ballina.  Overlooked by the Ox Mountains on the Mayo / Sligo border, Bonniconlon boasts a wild beauty and is an ideal walking/cycling base.  Lough Talt, a mountain lake with some of the most stunning views in Ireland is only a few miles from Bonniconlon.   There are also many historical and archaeological points of interest in the area.

The Bonniconlon Trails consists of five recreational trails of various distances and degrees of difficulty.
