Ceathru Thaidhg Looped walk.

Ceathru Thaidhg

Situated at the most northerly point in County Mayo, Ceathru Thaidgh is a coastal walk rich in breathtaking views of jagged cliffs, caves, chasms and islands resting against the Atlantic Ocean.
What to Expect....
A walking terrain of 13km in total with an ascent of 270 metres comprised of country lane-way, grassy tracks, coastal cliff and marsh tracks, accompanied by an ever changing view. See Graveyards from early christian settlers in Ireland, Learn about The Children of Lir (one of Irelands favourite legends) on Inis Ghluaire island and take the opportunity to get close to the local wildlife.

Set deep within the open valleys of north mayo the Keenagh loop walk offers an opportunity to trek across vast open areas of wilderness and solitude untouched by human hand.
What to Expect.....
A Challenging walk stretching up to 11.5km in distance with a total ascent of 250 metres. Panoramic views of High Mountains with the Atlantic Ocean visible in the distance. Enjoy spectacular scenery, crystal clear rivers and streams as you pass through the North Mayo Wilderness.

 

Mulranny Loop Walk

Nestled between Clew Bay and Blacksod Bay Mulranny is an abundant fishing and wildlife area with ever changing awe inspiring views of Westport Town, Croagh Patrick and the Clew Bay Islands below. Setting off from the Mulranny Hotel once the home of the Old Railway Line you will experience islands dedicated to life past, unique salt flats and sand dunes teaming with diverse habitats.
The Nephin Beag Mountain Range (a protected area of conservation) with its rich blanket bogs and flood plains from the Owen Duff river provide ideal breeding grounds for Golden Plover, Merlin and Peregrine Falcons.
